59/365: With the Tamayos – Missionaries to Cambodia
admin | February 28, 2010 | 10:16 am | Project 365 | No comments

The Tamayos are one of the missionary families SBC-Makati is supporting.  Pastor Edu was our guest speaker for today’s morning worship service. Today is the culmination of our missions month.  We hope that our church be able to support more missionaries as we encourage our congregation to give more to missions.

Let us continue to pray and partner with missionaries as we support them through our giving. :-)

58/365: Online Money Making

Head over to Online Money Making Experience and learn a thing or two on how we monetize our blogs.  Or better yet grab a hold of Good Housekeeping March 2010 issue.  While we know for a fact that what we make from our blogs are measly compared to the top guns, so to speak, it’s still extra money and definitely has been God’s channel of provision for our family.

57/365: Our Graduate

We took the liberty to shoot pictures (we turned the flash off) of our son while the official photographer for their graduation pictorial was taking his own photos of the kids (group and individual). We weren’t prohibited to take pictures. So alongside other stage parents, we shot away. I would so have loved to post pictures of the graduating group but I’m choosing not to, until I get the parents’ permission. :-)

This is what I cooked for dinner today.  It was yummy but nothing like Abe’s Sinigang na Bangus Belly with Ripe Guavas. I should try to cook one like that one of these days. We love Abe! :-)

TK Takoyaki – 4pcs for P35

I’m a big fan of Takoyaki.  So when I saw that there’s a new stall within the Robinson’s Metro East Supermarket, albeit a name completely foreign to me – TK Takoyaki, I just had to try it out.  I did see some octopus tentacles all right, but I have had better ones.  I even liked the one sold in Market!Market! Food Choices, more than this.  So far nothing could topple the best – Takoyaki from Hana of Little Tokyo.

53/365: Learning to take pictures of babies and children

As you might have noticed, my favorite subject to shoot is my unico hijo. You can’t really blame me. Aside from my love of capturing moments, I’m also my son’s primary caregiver. We also homeschool together. He’s really got no way out. But the usual issue about taking photos of children, if they have so gotten used to it, that they almost dread when they see you reach out for your digital camera. Because then, they’ll know what will come next.

52/365: Brownie on my workdesk

In between crunch times, there has got to be something I am munching on to keep me going. This is really not surprising, my expanding waistline is giving me away. Last week has been a crazy one for me.  I love my job and I am grateful.  It’s just that the extended hours in front of the computer has taken its toll and my eyes are now pudgy and tired.   These little comfort stuff fuels me up somehow. :-)

After Bisolvon’s launch of Alagang SuperMOMents Online Photo Contest at the Blue Whale in Fun Ranch, we went around and enjoyed a few rides and some activities.  When we ran out of ticket rides, we went inside the arcade area on the 2/F and played away. It was a finer place to relax even as we were all sweaty already from the crazy hot weather outside.

This shot was taken by Beth. Iris and I played against Jeff and Jed.  :-)

50/365: Somersault
admin | February 19, 2010 | 9:30 am | Project 365 | No comments

We had so much fun at Eastwood City today- here’s Jeff doing his third somersault via the Bungee Fun attraction.  The hubby and a host of other bloggers tried it out.  I had fun too as I took shots of them, even as I suck in all their squeals of suspense and delight. I am a big coward when it comes to heights, so I stayed put.   After the Bungee Fun we ate our hearts out at Uncle Cheffy located at the Eastwood Mall.
