247/365: A Slice of Sandy’s Pizza Garlic Chorizo
admin | September 4, 2010 | 11:11 pm | Project 365, food photography | No comments

When it comes to pizzas, I am a Sandy’s Pizza loyalist. Just because I wasn’t able to hold my horses, this is the one shot that I was able to take of the last Garlic Chorizo Sandy’s pizza I had last week.

239/365: Mixed Kabbab

If we would crave for something persian, our default place to go to has always been Ababu Persian Kitchen right across Xavierville. But just to satisfy our curiosity about the reviews that we have been reading about Shawarma Snack Center, we headed there after attending an event that was held around the area.

227/365: Margherita Pizza by Burgoo
admin | August 15, 2010 | 7:51 pm | Project 365, food photography | No comments

My craving for Sandy’s Pizza’s margherita pizza drove me to grab the next best thing -Margherita Pizza by Burgoo, P295. It’s cheaper all right. But nothing close to how good Sandy’s Pizza make theirs. Just writing about this makes me want to drive to their Blue Ridge/White Plains branch. What’s frustrating about Sandy’s Pizza places is that they cannot accommodate a lot of patrons. And because they have the best pizza in the world, there was never an instance that the place is not packed.

215/365: At the Mystery Shampoo Gala Launch
admin | August 3, 2010 | 3:02 pm | Project 365 | No comments

Sweet hubby escorted me to The New Pantene’s Amazing Hair Gala launch tonight held at the Isla Ballroom in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel.  Now, I know I haven’t been much on non-organic shampoos. But I’ll be willing to give this “New Pantene” a shot and even head on to the 14 day commitment to hair transformation.

214/365: Korean Beef Stew
admin | August 2, 2010 | 2:14 pm | Project 365, photo entry | No comments

Korean food is in the list of our favorite dishes. This is what I had for dinner today, Monday, our fam day out. We loaded up on steaks at Everything at Steak earlier during lunch time. As opposed to the latter’s homey atmosphere, Read more »

210/365: Ginataang Kuhol

This is one of the shots I took during the food event I attended a couple of weeks back – Ibayo by Barrio Fiesta. My Canon S90 was then a day old and I wasn’t yet too keen on using the manual setting. I took this shot of “Ginataang Kuhol” (snails cooked in coco milk) on Auto Mode. Fair shot for a point and shoot, right? No wonder this baby is being sold in the malls for ten grand more than I had bought my entry level Nikon dslr last year.

204/365: First couple of shots (on Auto mode) using Canon S90
admin | July 23, 2010 | 2:58 pm | Project 365 | No comments

Thanks to a reputable online gadget seller who sold me my newest toy to date, a Canon S90. Tagged by KenRockwell himself as the World’s Best Pocket Camera. I am one giddy lady! I love that I do not have to lug around with my other heavy weight dslr baby, Nikki. My nature of job calls for a quality camera and with the hundreds, possibly thousands of reviews I browsed through online, this is the winner! I’ll do the giddy dance in this blog post if I can. :D

191/365: Magyar Restaurant in Paseo de Magallanes
admin | July 10, 2010 | 12:00 am | Project 365 | No comments

The Magyar Restaurant in Paseo de Magallanes is definitely one of the yummiests finds I’ve had in months. Beyond Hungarian sausages, there was nothing else Hungarian I knew about before I visited them for the first time last month. One of the things that I loved about Magyar Restaurant is their unique scrapbook menu. Each page will transport you to Hungary and its culture. Read more »

190/365: Wheatgrass Project
admin | July 9, 2010 | 6:31 pm | Project 365 | No comments

It has been over a month since I started cultivating wheatberries. I failed on my first attempt and my lack of having green thumbs got the best of me (again)! But never say die. So dead as they are, I scooped out 1/4c. of fresh, brand new wheatgrass seeds and started over. I have since juiced my wheatgrass twice and I’m currently on my third and fourth trays.

189/365: O’sonho’s Chocolate Ganache
admin | July 8, 2010 | 12:00 am | Project 365, food photography | No comments

I am a self confessed sweet tooth and this is my runaway favorite from the Portuguese restaurant, O’sonho – chocolate ganache.

It readily took care to top our meal when we last went to O’sonho. I could easily finish one serving all by myself. Read more »
