People in general will agree with me when I say that babies and children are two of the most endearing and appealing subjects for photography. My Project 365 entries will prove just that. I am a parent and it is just inevitable that I take pictures of my son, who I’m obviously very fond of.

It is a delight to be able to capture in photos the emotions and innocence of a child. In all honesty I used to take pictures of my son without really taking into account the quality of the pictures that I take. That is what I hope to grow up from. Balance. It would be a total waste of owning a DSLR, albeit the entry level type, if I do not learn how to take better pictures.

A parent will gush over their children’s photos with delight regardless of the quality of their pictures. Never mind if pictures are totally out of focus. Although I can fully understand where they are coming from, I am hoping to take a step back and learn photography so I could finally gush over how I am finally able to do justice to the subject.

With this in mind, I am hoping to review that videos that I took via Sir James Nicolay’s class on Basic Digital Photography, July of 2009. I cannot exactly “major” in anything until I get down to the basics.

So here’s hoping that you guys will bear with me as I grow and learn in the art of photography.
