Normally, it would cost you around $300 for the first two hours. Then, additional charges apply for the next hours. There are also standard rates if you want a soft and hard copy of the images. It may really cost you a lot but the always remember, one important affair can never happen again. Your wedding, birthday celebration, reunion, and even seeing your daughter in one of those La Femme prom dresses; for sure, you’ll definitely want a lifetime memorabilia shot of those events.

You will know who among the group are the shutterbugs. The foods, people, landscapes, even road carts carrying loads of cedar furniture become their subject. They can even add photographic drama by using right angles on their shots. They pull a story from almost everything they capture. One image can be directed to another image to create a very simple yet elegant storyline for their gallery.

Now, films are obsolete so what studio owners do is they add a little extra to their business. Mini rooms become big studio type spaces allotted only for group pictures. With cool backgrounds depending on the client’s taste, lighting effects, and a two step stool for kids to look tall in the shot. What’s good is right there and then, they can wait for the image to be digitally printed.

It is kind of frustrating taking photos of random stuff using the kit lens lately. I figured I have to work double time on my EQ for me to hold off a little longer. To do this, I will have to make use of my prime lens more. Although more often than not, this limits me to take shots of wider spaces. It’s good if I will only take portraiture, products shots of apple bottom or other random beauty products that pr companies regularly sends. It can be a pain to switch lenses when you’re on the move.

One particular lesson that struck me was on Portraiture, which I am really hoping to be good at. But sadly, never had the chance to learn more on. Scott encouraged us that setting up a home studio should not be all that expensive. Investing on it might just be as affordable as your cheapest car insurance premium. We can actually make use of make shift stuff, even make use of a small space. This is something I’d like to look into as we get our house renovation done.

Portraiture and Food Photography are two of my main hope to learn this 2011. But before anything else, I am in dire need to hone my basic photography know hows. I am giving myself this month to run through the videos I took of my Basic Digital Photography class with Sir James Nicolay. It was in 2009 that I took the class and after almost 2 years, I still have not gone through the videos.

I love taking portraiture because I love to capture the expression of people around me. Food photography for the obvious reason that my family and I love to eat. It is too obvious, in fact that we now need to know how to reduce belly fat. It will be also sweet if our love for food will manifest through great photographs.

As for me, the only software that I have kind of learned, albeit a little, is the Adobe Lightroom. I might have to take classes on how to properly post process photos.

Working on the saturation, lighting and the image crispness may prove to be a challenge at first. But practice always make perfect. Before we know it we would be taking great shots of juvederm or any random product, for that matter and improve our blog as a whole.

I know I am pretty much speaking to myself. Given that I have been using point and shoot lately and just uploading not so good ones. I will get there in time.

I am currently looking into enrolling in an online photography program, just like those accredited online college degrees. It really is my only option for now.
