Korean food is in the list of our favorite dishes. This is what I had for dinner today, Monday, our fam day out. We loaded up on steaks at Everything at Steak earlier during lunch time. As opposed to the latter’s homey atmosphere, our dinner did not boast of classy Baldwin hardwares or whatnot, but twas good nonetheless. If there is anything I have to get every so often is a good kimchi fix. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. It’s sweet that we have a good korean mart nearby where I could have a regular dose. This shot was taken using my nifty Canon s90.

We revisited Cantonese Soup Kitchen today. Yes, we’ve been eating around lately. It is one of the things my husband and I love to do during our date nights (or days, for this matter). It was barely dusk when we had our very early dinner.

But since we were already in Quezon City, we thought we’d hop to Banawe and revisit Cantonese Soup Kitchen. I ordered Hakaw and Sibot and the picture above was what the husband ordered – Braised Beef. We were too full that we weren’t able to finish everything we ordered. We pretty have small pair of bellies which I think are to our advantage. At least we are at lower risk to have a need for diet supplements that work even if we do love great food and indulge whenever we can.

Today is the day that I attempted to make my very own Tofu Sisig ala Greens. And I failed. It was good. But nothing like that of Greens. It has been years since my husband and I went to dine at Greens. It can be a little far from where we live. But it is the best vegetarian restaurant we have been to ever.

And so when my dear cousin, Esther came to our place. I just had to drop all the things I’m doing and that includes the articles I’m doing about 5th wheel insurance claims. Headed out the streets despite the rains. I intended to buy some gluten that I could use to make my own vegetarian barbeque. But it was out of stock. I settled to buy a kilo of tofu instead and I tried it right on when I got home. I will do better next time.

The hubby is pretty possessive towards our Canon PowerShot A620, so it was imperative that I get a hold of another Canon camera to be able to join Canon Photo Marathon 2009 held in Tagaytay last November 14, 2009. Thanks to Iris for lending me her Canon IXUS 100IS and to Dani of Agatep for taking good care us, the online media group, while we were there.

This is the entry that I submitted to the second theme of the marathon. There was no illusion in my part that any of my shots will make it to the runners up, let alone the top spot. I’m just a simple photographer-wanna-be.

For every theme that was given (three of ‘em), we were given a time frame when we are allowed to go around Tagaytay to capture the theme. For theme two, it was this:

Theme 2
Filipinos no matter where they go, be likely to leave a mark of his hard work and merit. The challenge is to capture his great efforts; impart his message through narrating photos. It can be the fruit or the remarkable deed; for it will surely receive an overwhelming remark on your spirit.
