A shot taken by dear husband (please don’t mind my dark circles ). Our five year old son is such a joy to be around. There is never a dull moment when we are together. Even in the middle of the night and he would half wake to go to the washroom and pee and we’d throw a joke at him, he’d still smile with his half half closed. Now he is officially a First Grader and we are so thrilled for him. Most updates on our homeschooling journey can be found via ChristianHomeschooler.info.
This is the way my boys pass time. Our son is the sweetest! He does this all the time. We are sucking it all up, while he is still at it. I know boys have the tendency to clam up as they grow older.
This was taken early this week right after our lunch date at Pizza Hut. The little guy earlier underwent prophylaxis and his father had his tooth jacket re-cemented. We’re thinking of getting our studio shot done in time for Christmas cards. I really could make use of Arts Cow discounted rates now. Read more »
I don’t know where our son gets his most ridiculous and fun poses. Recently he has been doing a lot of silly faces that will just crack us up every time. He is too crazy sometimes.
The celebration may have been late. We were mostly in transit to Kuala Lumpur on my husband’s birthday. Blame it on me who booked our flight right on the dot. But the birthday celebrator does not mind. The day before being a Sunday will not be very feasible anyway. This birthday cake was a gift we came home to sent over by Great Wall Cars North Edsa.
Close to a couple of years and I hardly have improved in my photography skills. That is, if you can at all call it that. Of course aside from my wanting to be able to learn how to take shots with the “wow factor,” I should also know how to post process them to bring out the best quality in the photos.
Before digital imaging hcame, we were all freely snapping our shutters away. Snapshots make for a huge collection of a family’s memorabilia. Although everyone will agree with me when I say that a snapshot’s quality may not be as good as that of a thought of and well-composed portrait. Portraiture requires effort, snapshots don’t. That’s the bottomline.
It has been pretty sauna like these past days. The heat can easily send you to exhaustion in a heartbeat. Working has become unbelievably unbearable, it’s like my brain is heading towards meltdown. Seriously. I feel exhausted midday when I haven’t even started with my online tasks just yet.
Here is a quick fix to our summer days here in Manila. Going to the clubhouse is not very convenient so what we do is have the little guy play in this inflatable pool, which by the way has been inflated since typhoon Ondoy. We didn’t bother to deflate it after and now that summer is on the roll, it is now doing its job.
I used Canon Powershot A3100 IS to take this photo. DSLR was with a friend.
As you might have noticed, my favorite subject to shoot is my unico hijo. You can’t really blame me. Aside from my love of capturing moments, I’m also my son’s primary caregiver. We also homeschool together. He’s really got no way out. But the usual issue about taking photos of children, if they have so gotten used to it, that they almost dread when they see you reach out for your digital camera. Because then, they’ll know what will come next.
Running late again. It was almost 12 midnight when I realized I still have not done my Project 365 entry for today. It was good that I did take some careless shots of my son this morning as he was looking at the window mesmerized over the air particles that he saw as the sun shone through our bedroom window.
