When it comes to post processing photos, there are different techniques artists modify their raw capture. From the basic adjustments to the color manipulation, to the advanced skin softening, to the color correction and image enhancing. I have not personally looked into most of them, quite frankly.

Posing for a shot, you smiled and said ‘cheese!’ hoping for a great outcome. But when you previewed your image, it was a shocker! Dark circles surround your beautiful gaze. You cannot bear to upload such image on your social networks.
Post processing photos is a skill that anyone can work on. Despite the wide availability of You Tube tutorials, I still have not gotten myself to learn the tricks. As for my dear friend, Iris of Pinayads.com, she has done a great job here. The first photo below is the original and the next is the post processed one.
She was able to refine the picture as a whole. Taking off that annoying bright light on the upper left portion of the photo and made the picture look like it was taken from a studio with the perfect lighting.
With the technology and gadgets that we have in this generation, post processing of photos is hardly confined to Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom. Different mobile phone platforms offer applications that transform and ordinary photos to effects that will take you a while to come up with if you do it manually through the computer.
