This is the way my boys pass time. Our son is the sweetest! He does this all the time. We are sucking it all up, while he is still at it. I know boys have the tendency to clam up as they grow older.

271/365: Farewell Embrace
| September 28, 2010 | 12:13 am | Project 365 | No comments

This is one of the photos that caught my eye as I was rummaging through my stack of photos both from before we left for Baguio and from the trip per se. While I know this shot may not be a spectacular shot, it means a whole lot to me as it expresses the emotion of both me and my son as we said our goodbyes. It may not be more than two days that I will be far from him. But I knew I was going to so miss everything about him nonetheless.

We stopped over at Kennon Road during the bloggers visit to Mines View Park Hotel this week and this is how narrow the road is. This is the road right smack across the lion statue where Baguio visitors usually have their photo taken. Read more »

| September 17, 2010 | 3:32 pm | Project 365 | No comments

We were about to ride the bus when we decided we move over to the next street and just stare at the majesty of the Petronas Twin Towers. We took this shot the last night we were in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a beauty to behold. Even our 5 year old son was stunned, just standing right there looking up at its supremacy.

As busy as my husband and I both are, we try as hard as we can to squeeze in a quick date here and there. Truth be told, during regular days, he almost always come home late from church or schools in Makati where he ministers and does outreach.

258/365: Happy 35th Birthday, Jeff!!!
| September 15, 2010 | 2:38 pm | portraiture, Project 365 | No comments

The celebration may have been late. We were mostly in transit to Kuala Lumpur on my husband’s birthday. Blame it on me who booked our flight right on the dot. But the birthday celebrator does not mind. The day before being a Sunday will not be very feasible anyway. This birthday cake was a gift we came home to sent over by Great Wall Cars North Edsa.

256/365: A slice of Petronas Twin Towers – view from our hotel room

We chose Holiday Villa, also known as D Villa Residence in Kuala Lumpur for our sanctuary during our 3 day quick getaway to Malaysia. We chose to stay there basically because we have always opted to have a full featured room whenever we get the chance to go on a holiday trip. It is convenient, especially with a tot in tow. It especially helped that we were able to buy some groceries and get some regular bread and jam for the little guy. He is not very fond of spicy food and Malaysian foods are spicy. Yes, even for the husband and I being tolerant as we are when it comes to spicy dishes.

255/365: The Majestic Petronas Twin Towers at Night
| September 12, 2010 | 1:51 pm | Project 365 | No comments

Shooting this majestic Petronas Twin Towers will hardly require you to do anymore post processing. The twins are simply perfect! They do not just tower over every other building in sight. It is prominent even during daytime and the lights around the towers are not on. I later learned during our Petronas Bridgeway tour that the building is made of stainless steel, no less, which makes it stand out.

When it comes to pizzas, I am a Sandy’s Pizza loyalist. Just because I wasn’t able to hold my horses, this is the one shot that I was able to take of the last Garlic Chorizo Sandy’s pizza I had last week.

If we would crave for something persian, our default place to go to has always been Ababu Persian Kitchen right across Xavierville. But just to satisfy our curiosity about the reviews that we have been reading about Shawarma Snack Center, we headed there after attending an event that was held around the area.
